Club history
Golf Dorval, which had celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2006, has acquired an impressive record over its years in operation. Architect Mr. Graham Cooke had quite a challenge designing two golf courses with international standards in an urban environment. We are sure that this goal was met since we held the prestigious Omnium Quebec twice at Golf Dorval in the years of 1994 and 1996 and we also hosted the Quebec junior qualifying tournament for the Canadian Championships. Since 2007, due to the expansion of Pierre Elliot Trudeau Airport, both our courses (Oakville and Gentilly) have been merged into a new course name Golf Dorval. There are four different levels of difficulty on our public golf course. The avid golfers that like a challenge will enjoy our new course par 72 with a yardage of 6693 from the back tees and 5472 from the front tees.
Hall of fame
The Hall of Fame was inaugurated in 1996 and is now displayed at Golf Dorval.Hall of fame As you walk in the entrance of the chalet you will be able to enjoy photos with biographies of some of the greatest golfers in Quebec, such as Jules Huot, Pat Fletcher and Jocelyne Bourassa. These photos bring back memories and will inform you of the history of golf in Quebec.
Futur links
Futur linksIn 1997, Golf Dorval was the first public course to get involved with the Future Links program. Since that day this event takes place every season with a hundred children participating, aged seven to twelve years old. This event teaches kids the ABC's of golf and motivates them to become avid golfers.
