New procedure in the reservation system.

As of July 3^rd ,2026, there will be some changes in the procedure to make a reservation in the Chronogolf system. All Dorval citizens will need to put all the names of their golf partners in the reservation before confirming. The system will not allow you to confirm a booking if the names are not all there.

            So, you need to choose from your foursome one of the players that will make reservations and that person will put the names of all the players.

            If you are a Select customer and you are reserving for 3 other Select customers, that is easy, you search the names of your golf partners and click on the name to put the name in the reservation.

 

If you are a Select customer or a Dorval citizen and you bring some non-Dorval friends, you must prepare your reservation like the picture below

 

 

 

What is the category “Dorval friends”?

 

            This is a new category that was created to allow Dorval Selects or Dorval citizens to be able to put the names of their friends that do not live in Dorval.

            But your friends that do not live in Dorval are not registered yet, you must come to the pro-shop and see Jean-Guy or Alain, and we will register them in the category “Dorval friends”. ***

If they already have an account in Chronogolf it easy. If not, we need the first name and last name of your friends and their email to create a new account. When the account is created, you will be able to put their name in the reservation. Of course, the rule of the first 4 hours of operation (From 6am to 10am) with 2 Dorval’s and 2 guests (non resident) still apply. You can not reserve for 3 guests (non resident) with you before 10am.

So, you will have around 2 weeks to register your friends (non-resident) before the new procedure becomes enabled. Do not wait for the last minute and you can start practicing to put the names of your golf partners before July 3^rd, 2026. The reason of this new change is because there are still some golfers that are doing double booking or booking in case they might play.

What is “double booking”?

 Double booking. it is the fact that a group of people that plays together book multiple tee times when they only need one. They want the flexibility to choose later while blocking these tee times to other Dorval citizens. Also, it increases the traffic of golfers trying at the same time online to get a tee time.

Booking everyday in case they might play.  Some golfers take a reservation without asking their golf parters if they are available to play that day.  Other Dorval citizens would like to play and will not be able to because the tee time is taken in case and might be cancelled 2 days later.

*** “Dorval friends are not allowed to take a time 4 days in advance for themselves or for others. Any reservation 4 days in advance done by a “Dorval friends” will be cancelled by Golf Dorval. The purpose of the category of “Dorval friends” is only to allow Dorval citizens or Dorval Select to put the names of their friends (non resident) in their reservation because the reservation system will force them to do it before confirming the reservation.
