About us

Club History

Architect Mr. Graham Cooke had quite a challenge designing two golf courses with international standards in an urban environment. The construction started at the beginning of the 80′. The first 18 holes  course name “Oakville” was opened in June 1982.  In May 1983,  the first 9 holes name “Gentilly” was opened, and in spring 1984 the second 9 holes of “Gentilly” was completed  for a total of 36 holes.

Golf Dorval, which has celebrated its 35th anniversary in 2017, has acquired an impressive record over its years in operations.

Since 2007, due to the expansion of Pierre Elliot Trudeau Airport, both our courses (Oakville and Gentilly) have been merged into a new course name Golf Dorval. There are five different levels of difficulty on our public golf course. The avid golfers that like a challenge will enjoy our new course par 72 with a yardage of 6667 from the back tees and 5147 from the front tees.

Futur Links

In 1997, Golf Dorval was the first public course to get involved with the Future Links program. Since that day this event takes place every season with a hundred children participating, aged seven to twelve years old. This event teaches kids the ABC’s of golf and motivates them to become avid golfers.
